He had been fishing and was in no difficulty whatsoever.

8 September 1853 Yacht "GALATEA" aground off Afonwen Beach Yacht had managed to re-float on rising tide prior to arrival of the lifeboat 7 September 1333 Kite surfer believed to be in difficulty off Llandanwg Beach Lifeboat in conjunction with coastguards ashore searched for the kiter but nothing was found. A false alarm with good intent 28 August 1648 Kite surfer believed to be in difficulty between Harlech and Mochras Point Lifeboat in conjunction with coastguards ashore and rescue helicopter commenced searching for the kiter. They were later joined by the Barmouth All Weather lifeboat. Search terminated at 1931 when it was believed kiter had returned safely to Pwllheli. 27 August 1334 Three year old boy missing on the beach at Mochras Point. He had last been seen in the sea. Lifeboat in conjunction with coastguards ashore and rescue helicopter commenced searching for the boy. Both Barmouth lifeboats were also enroute to the incident. The little boy was found safe and well on the beach by his father shortly before 1400. 15 August 2208 Small tender washed ashore at Black Rock Beach with reports of person having been thrown in water Lifeboat in conjunction with coastguards and rescue helicopter carried out an extensive search which was unsuccessful. The "person" in the water is now thought to have been a buoy off the beach at Black Rock. 13 August 1300 Kite surfer being blown out to sea by offshore wind off Criccieth beach Kite surfer landed at Criccieth together with his equipment 7 August 1846 Inflatable dinghy seen drifting out to sea close to Porthmadog Estuary and then capsize Lifeboat quickly launched but found no sign of the dinghy after a thorough search of the area concerned 3 August 1345 Empty canoe drifting out to sea half a mile off Criccieth beach Canoe brought in to Criccieth 25 July 1513 Sixteen year old boy with fractured ankle on sandbank off Borth y Gest Administered first aid and brought boy and father ashore to meet an ambulance at Porthmadog Harbour 22 July 1707 Cabin Cruiser "SCORPION KING" unsure of its position close to Porthmadog Fairway Buoy. It had lost it's electrical power and later lost it's engine power as well.
